BRINGING POETRY & PEOPLE TOGETHER
Adult Poetry Event
This annual adult poetry event is traditionally held in the fall and invites community members from Alachua County and North Central Florida to come together, fellowship, and share their love and appreciation of the Human Voice through expressions of Poetry, Spoken Word, and Storytelling.
An Appreciation Of Human Expression Through The Vibration Of Voice And Word.

This Annual Event is co-sponsored by the city of Gainesville Department of Parks, Recreation and Cultural Affairs, a CAPRA-accredited agency.
COURAGEOUS YOUNG VOICES
Teen Poetry Showcase
This annual teen poetry event is traditionally held in the spring and invites Alachua County and Area Teens to share their uncensored voice in a Safe Space specifically created for Their Expression. Community members are invited to bear witness to the powerful voices of young adults as they pour out their unbridled truth through Poetry, Song, Spoken Word, and Storytelling.
We Are Courageous, We Are Young, And Our Voices Will Be Heard.

YOUTH POET LAUREATE PROGRAM
For North Central Florida/Alachua County
ARTSPEAKS has formed a partnership with Alachua County, Urban Word, and The National Youth Poet Laureate Program to foster the creative spirits and intelligent minds of our youth.

CALLING ALL
Poets, Spoken-Word Artists, Writers, Rappers, & Emcees
Literary organizations work together
to support powerful voices.

The North Central Florida Youth Poet Laureate Program is open to teens in the following North Central Florida counties:
Alachua, Marion, Putnam, Clay, Baker, Columbia, Union, Bradford, Gilchrist, Levy, Dixie, Lafayette, Suwannee, Hamilton, Madison, & Taylor
